congregation to meet the physical facility needs of our
growing congregation, at the current and Chesapeake site.
Christian Education Ministry
The Christian Education Department
provides a holistic educational approach to learning on a
continued basis to enhance learning, spiritual growth and a
relationship with Jesus Christ.
Church School Ministry

School
enhances learning for all ages.Classes are held each Wednesday from 6:20-7:15 p.m.The teachings provide a knowledge of the Old and New
Testament.The
open forum encourages individual participation and input
revealed through the Word.
Finance Ministry

Ministry is responsible for using integrity when handling
God’s financial resources. Greeters Ministry Demonstrating the love of God by letting every person who come through the church doors feel apart of our family. Providing the warmest atmosphere
possible, especially for our first time guests and members alike. Meeting the last Friday of every month
at 6:30 p.m.

Ministry Provides
options and training for personal debt reduction and
cancellation.
Greeters Ministry
Demonstrating the love of God by letting
every person who comes through the church feel like a part
of the MPBC family. Providing the warmest atmosphere
possible, especially for out first time quests and members
alike. We meet the last Friday of every month at 6:30
p.m.
Healing Hands Ministry
Minister the word of God
in a holistic manner to the family and the individual. To
remove the fear of separation so each person can feel free
to relate to us their concerns and problems. Also to insure
the child that we are here to help the family to grow in
love and the understanding of the way that God has chose for
us to live. This ministry is designed specifically to help
the families understand that we are not here to separate the
family but to show the love that God wants the family to
have for one another.
Ladies Auxiliary
Breakfast meetings are held on the 2nd
Saturday at 9:00 a.m. during the months of September -June.
Media Ministry
To edify the body of Christ by serving
the church with quality sound and digital video for
television broadcast an the churches website:

Mission Ministry
The Mission Ministry's purpose is to reach men, women, and
youth through witnessing, education, giving, and living for
Christ. The Mission Ministry distributes food to the
community twice a month through the USDA and Share programs
on the fourth Saturday of each month. At Thanksgiving the
Mission Ministry presents "baskets" to members and
non-members of Mt. Pleasant who are in need of food, as well
as proved clothing through the clothes closet throughout the
year.
And they did all eat, and were filled.....
And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside
women and children.

Nursery Ministry
The Nursery
Ministry exists to provide and ensure safe, loving Christian
child care to children ages four (4) months thru (4) years
old whose parents are worshipping and fellowshipping at
Mount Pleasant Baptist Church during Sunday morning or
Wednesday evening Church School. The Nursery Ministry
permits parents to freely worship and allow the Holy Spirit
to minister to them. It gives the children an
opportunity to mingle, share and play with their peers and
learn about God.
Pastor's
Aid Ministry
The mission of the Pastor's Aid
Ministry is to be at the Aid of our Pastor by making certain
that he is comfortable as possible and that his surroundings
are suitable at all times. We love our Pastor and
desire ONLY the best for him. We pledge to Aid our
Pastor and provide any additional assistance as requested by
our Pastor. Our doors are always open for
congregational members. We meet monthly on the 1st
Thursday at 6:15 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Men,
women and youth are encouraged and welcome to join the
Pastor's Aid Ministry.
Praise Dance Ministry
To offer praise unto God with
the movement of the body. Rehearsals on the 1st
& 2nd Thursday of the month and the 3rd & 4th Monday of the
month at 6:30pm. Men are welcome!!!!
Saint-to-Saint Ministry
Congregational in-house outreach.Ministry empowers one leader to reach 12 members for mentoring and discipleship.

Social Action Ministry
Provides assistance to
those in need of shelter, utilities, and search through
various organizations who provide help and monetary
assistance to those in need. Seek information to aide in the
well being of the sick and the elderly.
Sports Ministry
To fellowship with one another
and interact with other churches by playing softball and
basketball. All ages and genders are able to
participate. (We are currently in the basketball season.

Outreach Ministry
To Minister and build confidence using techniques hat allow
an individual to regain self-esteem and stamina within a
Christian environment. To develop coping mechanisms and the
strength to maintain a continuous course of recovery.
We meet every Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Transportation Ministry To accommodate the members
of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in the area of
transportation. We desire that everyone has an
opportunity to come to church when ever needed.
Ushers Ministry
Responsible for ensuring that the
congregation is seated in an orderly manner.
Widow Ministry
To assist widows with life after the
loss of a loved one.
Youth Ministry
The goal of the Youth Ministry
is to expose the youth to God's love, to equip them to adore
God, care for one another, and to purely service God.
Moreover, to be relevant to the needs of the youth of today
by keeping in perspective with the will of God and His word.
