A Word From Our Pastor

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

After eleven years of faithful service in this branch of Zion you are still the "Finest Church on this side of Heaven!" 

As always I want to keep you informed of our vision and where God is leading His people. As God's plan begins to unfold, we are following His lead as He reveals the steps for our journey in the church body. We will be launching out in a 3-year capital campaign to address our facility and ministry needs. A 5.5 million faith journey can be intimidating or overwhelming but with God all things are possible, we have to be willing to take the first step and watch God do the rest. We cannot afford to take our eyes off our God who will sustain us and give us a purpose for all that we do. 

The success of our "Kingdom Builders" Capital Campaign will make it possible for us to continue our advancement as a church "Being and Doing Kingdom Work Kingdom Ways."   It is our hope that all will devote a great deal of thought and prayer in the campaign.  Certainly each of us has unique challenges but we all live in an abundance of God's love. 

Let us unite together and grow in faith as we take a step in adding on another chapter in a legacy that was left for us, and now it is our turn to leave much more to another generation.

Capital Campaign Vision Ministry (CCVM)

Campaign Directors: Gail Smith, Oneal Floyd, and Trent Web

 Leadership Team: Renee Bailey, Shawanda Ashley, Exum Lee, and  Myrna Whittaker

Corporate Team  Carrying the vision of the "Kingdom Builders" Campaign to community and business leaders is the responsibility of this team. If you have contact with community and business leaders or would like to address such groups, this may be the team for you!

Administrative Team  Many hands make light work! The Administrative Team will make sure all of the printed materials get out to the people. If you have even an hour to assist in folding letters, labeling envelopes, or helping with other clerical needs of the campaign, this is your team!

Media Team  If you are gifted in photography, videography or multi-media production (dramas, musicals, etc.) and would like to help us to capture our campaign's progression for various video updates, media communications, and website update then this team is for you!

Prayer Team  Prayer must be the foundation of every endeavor in our Christian walk. Although everyone can be praying during the "Kingdom Builders" Campaign, you may feel led to volunteer for the organizational needs of the Prayer Team as we create specific opportunities for people to pray.

Young Adult Team  As a member of this team, you are responsible for leading our young adults forward on this spiritual journey. There will be many opportunities to assist other Teams and to creatively share the vision "Young Adult Style!"

Invitation Team Do you love people? Do you love talking ? This team is for you! Team members will call individuals and families and encourage them to attend the key events of the campaign. This team will consist of 30 or more people.

Personal Communication Team  "Kingdom Builders" marks another special moment in the life of MPBC. Every Disciple of the church family needs to be informed.  We need volunteers to help deliver that message and share the vision as well as encourage individuals and families to pray and attend energized events tailored to them. Join this team if you love connecting with people and getting to know them.

Children' s Ministry Team  If you are serving children in our church, or would like to help us communicate the vision to them in fu, and creative ways, then this team is for you!

Celebration Team  The entire MPBC family will gather to celebrate God's work in our ministry. We will rejoice together in a grand celebration in the fellowship center. Opportunities are available to help with logistics, children's ministry, decorating, hosting, and a variety of other tasks. Get on board today to help in the preparation and execution of this exciting event.

Follow-Up Team  People are needed for this team to help participants stay the course and provide new Disciples with opportunities to get plugged into the "Kingdom Builders" Campaign.
